There is something chaotically beautiful about democracy in-action [inaction]. There is death, exploitation, and disinformation but there is also free speech, revolution and progress. What we rail against is the very foundation of what supports our counter point: our condemnation of a system.

Constructed Thoughts

I was given a question: “Why does our contemporary culture place such little value on thought?” First of all, this question is a question that could only be asked by someone who believes most people in our culture do not think as much as they should. I believe our culture today places just as much emphasis on thought as any other large culture ever has. We have even more things to think about today. It is the information age after all. The problem lies in the fact that we are thinking the wrong thoughts. Society of Perfect Time

My alarm clock rings at 7:47 AM which I deliberately place on the other side of the room to force myself out of bed. I drag through the paces of getting ready; shower, shave, clothes, check email while waffles are cooking, blah blah. Then I join the cluttered masses on the highway to my little cube in office-somewhere, I poke my way through the work that’s there and sometimes not before rejoining my four wheeled, blue-tooth armed comrades.
I can’t help but question just how healthy is a whole culture running in front of the hour hand in near perfect time?
The ’digm is Go!

As of Sunday May 11th this site has officially launched! This project marks the end of my College career. All of the various print and digital elements of this project will be on display in the George Segal Gallery at Montclair State University from Thursday May 15th to Saturday May 31st. The opening reception is on Thursday at 8:00pm. My work will be displayed alongside several talented individuals I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past few years.
This project allows me to explore the possibilities of dynamic content on the Internet. This site will feature periodic updates of individuals creating work that contains cultural commentary. Visit the about and contribute pages for more information.
